Hi! I’m Nass,

I’m a watercolor illustrator inspired by the intricate beauty of nature’s smallest creatures. Born in Granada, Spain, my journey with art began early, but it wasn’t until I moved to Madison, Wisconsin, that I started creating consistently and sharing my work with the world. During a period of cold winters and personal challenges, painting became my refuge — a way to process emotions, find clarity, and reconnect with myself.

After taking the leap to pursue illustration full-time, life brought unexpected challenges, including a diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma in 2019. Returning to Spain for treatment and later moving to Mexico in search of a slower, more intentional life deeply shaped both my art and my perspective. In the lush forests of Chiapas, I began leading watercolor workshops and reconnecting with nature in a profound way.

Today, I create detailed watercolor illustrations from San Cristóbal de las Casas, drawing inspiration from the rich biodiversity around me. I specialize in painting insects — tiny masterpieces I like to call “nature’s jewelry.” Through my work, I hope to inspire curiosity, respect, and wonder for these often-overlooked beings that are essential to life on our planet.

I also created my watercolor course to share the healing power of painting — whether as a form of emotional expression or as a path toward building a creative, independent life. Through art, I invite others to see beauty where they least expect it, and to reconnect with their own creativity with confidence and heart.
